To Whom It May Concern,
As you may be aware New Zealand is rapidly approaching the next general election, which will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2005.
As an integral part of our campaign ACT New Zealand is contacting expatriate New Zealanders around the world to campaign for their vote.
ACT is New Zealand’s pre-eminent classic liberal party. We have a plan to improve our great nation by reforming the health, education and social welfare sectors and by lowering taxes and simplifying business regulations. We believe in a drastically reduced state and the inherently increased freedoms and responsibilities that will come with it; knowing that this will allow all New Zealanders to live their lives to the fullest.
Expatriate New Zealander’s are a key ACT constituency. They are hard working, motivated and successful; after all you need to be all these things to leave our shores. Be it to raise the money for your ‘Big OE’. Be it to gain admission to a foreign university. Be it to capitalise on a job aborad. They are making the most of the opportunities given to them, and are creating further opportunities for themselves.
ACT New Zealand is a party which recognises our expatriates and their achievements and celebrates them. We have a plan to change New Zealand so that more New Zealanders have the opportunity to achieve the successes attained by our expatriates and so that more of the success they seek overseas can be achieved in New Zealand.
If you are a New Zealander living abroad and would like further information about enrolment, voting and/or ACT please visit ACT’s website; www.act.org.nz, or feel free to contact me directly; LCSchroeter@clear.net.nz. Alternatively you can enrol directly at the Elections New Zealand website; https://secure.elections.org.nz/app/enrol/.
If you are not a Kiwi, it would be great if you could pass this message on to any New Zealanders you know. ACT is doing its utmost to contact New Zealanders wherever they maybe, however our efforts are greatly enhanced by the goodwill of people around the world.
Thank you for your time.
Yours sincerely,
Lukas Schroeter

Please note: The international campaign is separate from ACT’s election campaign within New Zealand. The decision to join this blog and/or discussion group and to post messages promoting ACT’s international campaign on this blog and/or discussion group has been made by myself and does not necessarily reflect official ACT policy or opinion..
